The Role:
The Maintenance/Facilities Technician oversees all aspects of the club location including, but not limited to, janitorial, preventative maintenance needs, and more. Although this is a wrench-turning position with no direct reports we assure you that you will join a diverse team that prides itself on building relationships and community. 

Position: Maintenance/Facilities Technician
Job Type: Full-time
Location: FFC West Loop
Shifts Required: Varies. Flexibility is needed. 40 hours per week
Compensation: $25-27 per hour (depending on experience)

Qualifications:
  • Have an understanding of 3-phase electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of low pressure steam boilers, HVAC and commercial refrigeration
  • Experience with pool and spa operation and chemicals
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment repair and maintenance
  • Carpentry, painting and basic electrical skills
  • Experience with basic plumbing repairs
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers
  • Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests, and yourself
  • Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence
  • Maintain building and grounds to provide a safe, efficient operating environment for members and staff
  • Prepare and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures pertaining to operation maintenance and repair of equipment. Recommend to Operations Manager or General Manager necessary capital equipment and major repairs
  • Be available to respond to emergencies
  • Actively communicate with the Operations Manager about any mechanical problems throughout the facility as well as the inventory status for the department
  • Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude
  • All operational/facility maintenance duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director or General Manager
