Position: Bar Server
Job Type: Seasonal/Part-time 
Location: FFC Elmhurst 
Required Shifts: WEDNESDAY 1pm-8pm & FRI/SAT/SUN 12pm-4pm (*MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WEEKENDS)
Compensation: $15 per hour
Age Requirement: 18+

This is a dynamic, multi-functional role where you will rotate between responsibilities as a server, runner, café attendant, and poolside attendant. You will play a key part in delivering an exceptional experience for members by providing attentive service, maintaining high standards, and supporting overall café and bar operations.

Member Experience
  • Welcome with a Smile: Greet every member by name and create a warm, positive experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Engage & Assist: Use strong communication skills to answer questions and assist members with product selection, ensuring they have everything they need.
  • Provide Information: Clearly describe menu items and beverage offerings to enhance the guest experience.
Food & Beverage Service
  • Prepare Menu Items: Accurately prepare food and juice bar items according to company recipes and standards.
  • Beverage Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of all beverage offerings, recipes, and pricing.
  • Bar Service: Provide prompt, consistent service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Order Accuracy: Pick up completed orders, double-check for accuracy and presentation, and deliver efficiently.
Operations & Cleanliness
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the café, bar, and all service areas are clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
  • Bar Setup & Breakdown: Set up, stock, restock, and break down the bar according to established par levels and procedures.
  • Equipment Care: Clean and maintain all bar equipment, glassware, utensils, refrigerators, and work areas in compliance with standard operating procedures.
Transaction Handling & Compliance
  • Process Transactions: Accurately enter orders into the POS system, and process payments.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Alcohol Service: Verify IDs, monitor alcohol consumption, and adhere to responsible service guidelines.
Teamwork & Professionalism
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with teammates and supervisors, supporting additional tasks as needed.
  • Be Reliable: Arrive prepared and ready to begin work at your scheduled time.
  • Maintain Standards: Follow all uniform, grooming, and appearance guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes and preparation techniques
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for customer service
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Coachable and eager to learn with a positive attitude
  • Must obtain an Illinois Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of employment (employee expense)
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
