Purpose of Position
The Spa Lead creates an exceptional spa experience for members and guests while supporting the daily operations of the spa. This role sets the standard for service excellence, assists in leading and motivating spa technicians and spa reception staff, and helps drive revenue, member retention, and guest satisfaction. The Spa Lead serves as a key operational partner in maintaining service standards, supporting team development, and ensuring smooth daily spa operations.

Position: Spa Lead (weekend availability is necessary)
Job Type: Part-time 
Location: FFC Oak Park 
Compensation: $17.80 per hour 

Qualifications: 
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a spa, wellness, hospitality, or service-based environment preferred
  • Minimum one year of spa industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through
  • Sales or retail experience preferred
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn spa scheduling software
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Ability to lift at least 10 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming spa environment for members, guests, and coworkers
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure every member interaction reflects FFC service standards
  • Assist in leading and supporting massage therapists and estheticians
  • Assist in leading the spa reception team by reinforcing service expectations, supporting scheduling efficiency, and maintaining strong communication standards
  • Provide ongoing guidance and constructive feedback to spa reception staff to improve booking accuracy, guest communication, and operational efficiency
  • Communicate opportunities for improvement to reception team members in a professional and solution-oriented manner while reinforcing service expectations
  • Ensure clear communication between spa providers and reception staff regarding scheduling, service timing, and guest needs to maintain smooth daily operations
  • Help train and onboard spa personnel in accordance with Fitness Formula policies
  • Set the example by building and maintaining a strong personal client base
  • Mentor spa providers by sharing strategies and ideas to help grow their clientele
  • Maintain consistent interaction with members and guests to address questions, resolve concerns, and enhance the spa experience
  • Maintain an effective spa schedule that aligns with business demand and supports revenue goals
  • Assist with ordering, tracking, and maintaining spa inventory and treatment supplies
  • Communicate operational challenges, staffing needs, or facility concerns with appropriate management staff
  • Promote spa services, retail products, and current marketing initiatives
  • Support spa performance goals by encouraging rebooking, service upgrades, and retail sales
  • Support the execution of promotions, events, workshops, and other revenue-driving activities
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all spa services, company initiatives, and marketing promotions

Our Commitment to Hospitality: FFC offers a robust training program mandatory for all employees to attend. The training includes multiple hospitality courses to be completed during your first 90 days. Your manager will go over your role specific training and dates upon hire.
