Future Opening: Event & Social Media Intern

Part Time • 60661, Chicago
Program specifics: 10 to 12-week period (flexible to student’s needs and requirements, coinciding with the academic calendar, if necessary). Part-time - no more than 10-15 hours per week (subject to change based on university internship criteria). Position will report to our FFC corporate office at 619 W. Jackson Blvd, in downtown Chicago, however, the majority of time for this position will be spent in the clubs or off-site at local community events. 

You will need reliable transportation to travel and transport equipment/promotional items from club to club and off-site community events host by FFC. 
 
Fitness Formula Clubs is looking for a social media & event intern who is passionate about health & wellness and the social media and event industries. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can think on their feet and has exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience managing professional brands’ social media presence in a B2C or B2B capacity is a plus.

Activities may include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Assisting with in-person event execution, both in the clubs and in the community - evening and weekend work will be required 
  • Creating content for FFC’s social media channels utilizing existing content and gathering new content for cross-promotion across social channels
  • Creating and posting content to FFC’s TikTok page to increase following and engagement for the platform
  • Assisting with posting stories on a daily basis to FFC’s Instagram platform 
  • Expanding on the “Community” piece of the FFC social platforms (including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok)
  • Building a library of created and user-generated content on an ongoing basis
  • Fielding video content at the 10 clubs and at relevant events for FFC’s social media platforms 
  • Assisting with promotion of FFC events on social media
  • Assisting with inventory management for in-club promotional materials
  • Using marketing and social media expertise to generate new ideas and goals for FFC’s social media marketing
