We are looking to hire a seasonal employee for our Aqua Aerobics Instructor position through September. 

As an Aquatic Fitness Instructor for the Sandburg Pool you will be responsible for instructing group exercise classes in accordance with class description set by Regional Group Fitness Manager. Classes consist of a warm-up, conditioning and cool-down phase. Classes are Monday-Friday at 10am, Thursday additional evening class at 6pm, and Saturday at 10:30am. Availability during one or many of these class times is required.

Compensation: $55 per class 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Arrive at class at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled class
  • Begin and end class on time
  • Instruct classes (including a warm-up, conditioning and cool down phase) in specialization and as assigned by Group Fitness Manager and/or Fitness Director
  • Provide instruction and coaching to class attendees
  • Accurately record class participation and conduct class surveys
  • Ensure that pool area is clean and returned to original state at the end of each class
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Group Fitness Instructor by a nationally-recognized organization
  • Certified in field of specialty in Aquatic
  • Current CPR/AED Certification
  • 1+ years of teaching experience 
Compensation: $55.00 per hour
